People move to different places for many reasons. And even though moving is natural for humans, it’s still important to feel like you belong somewhere. That’s why I created Away, an app to help immigrants connect with each other. With Away, you can find people near you who can help with different things or just be friends.
Since the world is big, people migrate. This means they move to a new place, either because they want to improve their life or because they have to.
Migrating is something that is in human DNA, but we also have a sense of belonging to our community, country, and language. This is what gives us our identity.
When we uprooted and leave our country, we also leave behind the cultural baggage that makes us who we are. Having a support network can make life outside of your country more bearable.
That’s why I created Away, an app to connect immigrants like myself, so they can feel a little closer to home. With Away, you will be able to look for other immigrants near your location who can offer their help in different fields—like how to fix something or explain how to open an account—or just make new friends
